The Cincinnati Pistol playbook might be the best Pistol playbook in College Football 26. It definitely has the most Pistol formations of any team playbook in the game. One of its rare formations is Pistol Weak Z Close. It’s the only playbook in the game that has it.
It has the “Weak” look with the FB the opposite side of the TE. “Z Close” has the WR on the right closer to the offensive line than normal.
Perhaps its best feature is the three-play mini scheme with the FB in motion coming from the slot with a Zone run, a Power run, and a PA Slide off of that. The rest of the run game is zone-based. The other two play actions are neat with a leaked TE in one and a FB wheel in the other. Slants Stick gives you the two most popular Quick Pass concepts in the game in one play, and it even has a HB Slip Screen.
Overall, it’s a fun little formation with a Pro Style vibe that enjoys using its FB unlike most schemes.
