Most Inside Zone plays from Gun formations have the HB going at or to the opposite side where the HB is located. Since Inside Zone is the simplest and more popular run concept in football, defenses can anticipate this. The Same Side Zone concept combats that. There are seven total plays as shown below. Notice how they attack the same side as the HB.
